BEIJING, Oct.12, Asiainfo Services, Inc. -- On September 26th, a special long-distance communication network began its operation in China. The project is a satellite long-distance communication system specified for transportation controls.
Its equipment and TDMA technology were provided by the Canadian SPAR/COMSTREAM Corporation. The network covers the provincial and municipal telecommunication departments under the Ministry of Communications. This is the largest TDMA satellite system is especially useful for telecommunications networks in the world in terms of its functionality. The network is expected to go into full operation at the beginning of 1996 with low service charges.
