The University of Queensland, Brisbane, Australia, will be hosting the 16th General Conference of the International Peace Research Association (IPRA) from 8th to 12th July, 1996. Amongst the speakers at this very imortant event will be Nobel Peace Laureate, Professor Joseph Rotblat, as well as many of the leading peace researchers and scholars of the world.

We are hoping that you will be able to assist us in publicising the conference. In particular, you could help in two ways - firstly, the distribution of promotional brochure and registration form and, secondly, running a notice in your newsletter.

In exchange, we can put a notice in the special peace issue of `Social Alternatives' ("Creating Non-Violent Futures") for you free of charge.

If you are agreeable to this, please send us a camera-ready advertisement for inclusion in this issue by May 1.

If you are able to assist, please let us know how many brochures you require for inclusion in your journal.
