According Xinhua news agency, the 10-year-old living Buddha Karmapa, of Tsurphu monastery, drove 280 km Wednesday 21st September to pay homage to Tashi Lumpo monastery, the residence of Panchen lamas in Shigatse city. Karmapa, for the first time, paid tribute to the stupas of Panchen Lamas, the largest gilded bronze statue of Buddha and the biggest lama's robe in the world.
