In August 1994, Asia Watch published a report, entitled "Organ procurement and Judicial execution in China", documenting the fact that "it has become increasingly evident that executed prisoners are the principal source of supply of body organs for medical transplantation purposes in China." This document coupled with new evidence that Asia Watch has gathered confirms that China is relying heavily on executed prisoners as a source for organ transplantation. This alarming situation is not only apparent in China, but is now threatening the Tibetan population as well. There is an unconfirmed account of a teenager reported missing, and later found in a sewage ditch with his torso cut opened and vital organs missing. (EuroTibet News N·9)
