THE RADICAL PARTY SUPPORTS TIBET ISSUE

Radical Party was held in Moscow on March 18, 1995 from 11.oo AM to 8.30 PM. It was attended by members from various cities of Russian Federation and delegates from Italy, Ukraine, Belarus and Tibet. One of the agendas was the Radical Party's campaign for support the struggle of Tibetan people and for democracy in China. Representative Nawang Rabgyal Talked on the present situation in Chinese-occupied Tibet, nature of Tibetan struggle, iniziative from His Holiness the Dalai Lama for paeceful negotiation without precondition, and growing international importance and support for Tibet issue. It was followed by questions and answers. Some partecipants spoke in support of Tibetan aspiration. The Assembly passed a resolution on Tibet expressing its "admiration and respect for the nonviolent struggle by Tibetans for liberation from Chinese military occupation" and calling upon Russian Radical Party members to declare their solidariety whit the "World Satyagraha 1996" movement for "Save Tibet".

The resolution also supported the Five Point Peace Plan of His Holiness the Dalai lama. Literatures in Russian, including "Tibet: Proving Truth from Facts" and His Holiness 10th March Statement were distributed among the participants. Earlier, on the 10th March of Tibetan National Uprising Day, the Radical Party organised a paeceful protest in front of Chinese Embassy in Moscow. The Embassy refused to receive a petition adressed to Chinese President. The prty issued press release, expressing its solidarity with Tibetans in their non violent struggle for freedom and urging the United Nations to call on "Conference on Tibet China Relations". Similar protests against Chinese action in Tibet were reportedly organised in the capitals of Ukraine, Georgia and Azerbaijan. The Transnational Radical Party has offices in Rome, Moscow, Kiev, Vilnius, Alma-Atat, Minsk, Baku, Tashkent, Tbilisi, St. Petersbourg, Bucharest, Prague, Warsaw, Tirana, Budapest, Sofia, New York, Brussels, Zagres, Ouagadougou and Tresnjevas.
