To the Tibetan Women's Delegation in Beijing:

I have been closely following your activities at the United Nation's Fourth World Conference on Women in Beijing. Your presence at the Forum and Conference has brought about much awareness of the situation in Tibet.

I know that it has been a challenging and difficult period for all of you. Your courage and determination to tell the world what is happening in our homeland under such situations in a dignified and peaceful manner are commendable.

I take this opportunity to express my appreciation for your commitment to our cause and my gratitude to the hundreds of women from many countries who have supported you.
