A MINORITY IN THEIR OWN COUNTRY

Moscow (our inform.) On July 8, the leaders of the World Bank will have to decide whether to give credit of 334 million dollars to finance the China Western Poverty Reduction Project. Among other measures this project envisages the displacement of 60 thousand Chinese settlers on the Territory of Tibet.

Secretary of the Radical Party and European Parliament Deputy Olivier Dupuis declared that if the World Bank decided to finance this project, it would become not only an accomplice, but a co-author of the policy of colonisation of Tibet, of destroying the people and the culture with a centuries-old history. Chine has been carrying out this policy for the last 50 years. Now the number of Chinese colonists is greater than the indigenous population of Tibet (7 million against 6 million).
