I understand the following statement made by Mirjana Petrovic:

"4,000 dead in two days gets off free, 6,000 dead in sixmonths is full of "War Crimes". Of course the point is not the number of people killed since even

the killing of one should not be tolerated.However it's the old, familiar

approach of some Western countries:selective emphasis in inhumane acts. A

thousand people might have been killed in Asia somewhere but you only hear

of the kidnapping of a Western journalist day after day after day.It's a

shame for humanity.
