may be you are right when you say that this expression can have a
fundamentalist religious meaning especially for US readers.
Of course it is not our intention; but it is also true that with such an
expression we want to challenge exactly those catholic fundamentalists who
are always available to fight to the extreme in order to defend a zygote's
life but in the meantime accept without doing anything that thousands of
people are killed in bosnia or elsewhere, that millions of children are put
to death by hunger etc.....
In any case: could you suggest a more accurate expression?
Please keep us informed of similar or different kind of misleading
expression. May be we can find together a more comprehensible language.
