Just at the same time (at 16.00 MET) in Rome, where the central office of

demonstrate in front of Russian Federation embassy in Italy (Via Gaeta, 5),

in order to express protest against mass and brutal violation of human

rights by Russian armed forces in Chechnya and to witness solidarity with

Russian democrats, standing out against war.

Earlier, on December 30, six leaders of Transnational Radical Party (Emma

Deputies of the Italian Parliament and recently designated Commissioner of

EU; Marco Pannella, President of the Party and European MP; Olivier Dupuis,

President of General Council of the RP; Antonio Stango, Chairman of Italian

Helsinki Group and member of Secretariat of Radical Party; Mamuka

open letter to Boris Yeltsin, expressing their concern about human rights

violation in Chechnya and requesting to allow them to go to Grozny as

international non-governmental observers. No answer on this letter was
