Mr. Chairman, before closing my delegation whishes to state that India adopts a positive and constructive approach to the establishment of an ICC in a realistic setting and will continue to cooperate in this spirit in the next two meetings of the PREPCOM and subsequently in the diplomatic conference next summer.

Finally, Mr. Chairman, my delegation supports the invitation of the Government of Italy for holding the Diplomatic Conference on the establishment of an International Criminal Court, in June 1998 in Rome.
