Statement by Mr. Hiroshi Kaw Amura, Alternate Representative of Japan

Japan is gratified that the number of countries participating in the Preparatory Committee is increasing, and particularly welcomes the active participation of Asian and African countries.

Mr. Chairman,

On behalf of the Government of Japan, I would like to express my sincere appreciation to Italy for offering to host the Diplomatic Conference. Japan

will cooperate to the best of its ability for the success of the conference.
