The establishment of the International Criminal Court in Rome, last July, represent a remarkable contribution of mankind towards the promotion and protection of human rights all over the world. In Rome we created an unprecedented comprehensive legal framework to safeguard human rights and bring to justice those responsible for the most heinous crimes witnessed by humanity such as those committed recently in Rwanda and Former Yugoslavia.
