US - INTERNATIONAL COURT OPPOSED
A group of U.S. statesmen, led by former secretaries of state and defense and national security advisors, have expressed opposition to creation of a U.N.-sponsored International Criminal Court, saying it would eventually attempt to convict American citizens or U.S. soldiers, as reported by 7am.com.
The group offered its support for the American Service Members' Protection Act, which would shield U.S. soldiers from the tribunal's prosecution powers.
