The chief military prosecutor of USSR said in the most popular TV evening program "Vremja" that criminal cases will be maked out against all Lithuanians who had leaved Soviet military units after proclaiming of independence of Lithuania.

More than 500 young Lithuanians escaped from their places of service since March 11th. According the soviet laws (desertion - article No 247 of Russian Federative Socialist Republic Criminal Code) they can be sentenced to 7 years of a strict regime criminal camp.
