actually I hate to involve the Party into the messy Russian politics but a recent episode may be of some interest for all of your. Last Thursday, April 8, I and three other deputies - people's deputy of Russia Miklhail Astaf'ev, and people's deputies of Moscow City Council Tat'ana Shumilina, Lev D'yakonov and me - came to the Moscow TV centre to take part in a regular broadcast "The deputy's voice" BUT WERE INTERDICTED. Since all the world is sure that there is no political censorship in the new democratic Russia I'm not going to prove the contrary. Yet we were interdicted on pure political reasons and in gross violation of the Russian law which secures our right to appeal to our voters through mass media.The action was directed against Astaf'ev and me because we run for the position of the head of the city executive.
It would be great if the Radicals make a demonstration at the gate of the Russian embassy or embassies. The control over the media nowadays is more strict than it used to be in the last years of the Communist regime.
