SERB DEFIANCE OF THE INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY'S COMMITMENT TO MAINTAIN PRESENCE IN KOSOVA
The Belgrad-based Tanjug agency reports that Deputy Prime Minister of the government of the self-proclaimed Yugoslavia (Serbia and Montenegro), Jovan Zebic, said yesterday (wednesday) in Podujeva, a town in northern Kosova, that the CSCE Mission's presence in Kosova, which has been for three years now under Serbian occupation, should be conditioned with the presence of the Serb-Montenegrin federation in the CSCE.
The current state of affairs is unacceptable, said Mr. Zebic, adding that as long as the chair of "Yugoslavia" is vacant in the CSCE the latter's mission will not be allowed presence in Kosova, Vojvodina and Sandjak.
"We will by no means accept such a degree of colonial dependency, although the price we are paying is very high", said Mr. Zebic, in a clear defiance of the international community's commitment to ensure its presence in volatile Kosova.
