LACK OF SUPPLIES THREATENS LIFE IN KOSOVA
A commentary published in today's Prishtina based "Bujku" focuses on the difficulties of supplies for the population of Kosova. The most recent measures taken by the Government of so-called Yugoslav Federation for an ostensible better run of supplies and state controlled prices, will have a negative effect on the life of Kosova. Such measures intend to completely destroy the private small owners of shops and suppliers in Kosova overwhelmingly run by the Albanians, who have so far effectively been furnishing the Kosova population with the necessary products.
The Serbian Government has authorized two of the formerly main state-owned suppliers "Germia" and "Vocar", which for the last three years have not been operating as such, to supply the population with ration food. The Albanian population fears that these new supply policies will privilege only the Serbian population of Kosova. (...)
This way, Kosova population is being subjected to two fold sanctions, first being the international sanctions and secondly the blockade imposed to Kosova by the Serbian regime, says the commentary.
