HEALTH MINISTRY OF KOSOVA ESTABLISHES A SPECIAL FUND
The health Ministry of the Republic of Kosova decided in its last meeting to establish a special health fund in Kosova which is to sponsor the functioning of Kosova health institutions and to cater for the population, and specialization of the medical staff of Kosova, today's Prishtina based Bujku reports.
The Ministry said the fund would raise money from diverse sources, mainly private donators.
Bujku reports that the Kosova Health Ministry has specified the list of prices which is to be respected by all the Kosova (i.e. Albanian-owned) health-care institutions.
OVER 200 HUNDRED SERB POLICEMEN BESIEGED A VILLAGE OF FERIZAJ
Heavy Serbian police forces backed up by 8 jeeps, 4 vans and 24 police cars besieged early in the morning today the village Nerodime e Eperme of Feizaj. The police expeditions raided on and searched several Albanian homes of the village. No explanation has been issued so far on the motives of this expedition.
ALBANIAN POLITICAL ACTIVISTS ARRESTED IN FERIZAJ AND VUSHTRRI
The serbian police arrested on Monday (13 September) four Albanian political activists from the village of Jezerc of Ferizaj. Jakup Biba, chairman of the LDK lokal branch, Haki Ramusa, vice-chairman, and Ramadan Biba and Vesel Kalanica, activists, were arrested while they were engaged in collecting grain dedicated as relief for the poor families. They were reportedly beaten and maltraeted for several hours at the Nerodima police station.
Meanwhile, at the village of Dolak, Vushtrri municipality the Serbian police arrested Ibrahim Kuci, chairman of the Coordinating Council of the Trade Unions. As reported, Mr. Kuci was arrested for the seventh time.
THE ALBANIAN RESIDENTS OF CABER VILLAGE THREATENED WITH CLEANSING
Three weeks after a wild expedition of the Serbian police the Village of Caber and other villages in the bordering areas of Kosova with Serbia when the police beat up over 100 persons, the Serbian installed authorities have launched another campaign against the Albanian population of the region. In order to accomplish the ethnic cleansing, this time they asked them to submit their property deeds certifying their possession of the estates. Thus some 18 families of the Caber village have been asked to provide these authorities with property deeds, from the years 1951 and 1961.
Sources from Zubin Potok report that there are indiocations that some 100 Ha. will be confiscated. The local residents have quoted the Serbian authorities as saying that this territory is of a strategic importance. The villagers say that they suspect that this are will be take by the Serb army in order to built an army base.
TWO TEACHERS ARRESTED IN SUHAREKA
Yesterday (Tuesday), at around 9.00 hrs., the Serbian police arrested two Albanian teachers, Besim and Hilmi Hajdari, both teachers at the '7 Marsi' school. They were maltreated at the police station and had their teaching curricula confiscated. A professor from the University of Prishtina, Mr. Hajdin Berisha, was likewise summoned at the so-called 'informative conversation' in Suhareka.
LDK BRANCH CHAIRMAN SENTENCED TO 30 DAYS IMPRISONMENT
As reported, the Serbian police arrested on 6 September, while in a party meeting, Shemsa Veseli, chairman of the Kodra e Trimave LDK branch in Prishtina.
Today's Bujku reports that the Municipal Court in Prishtina has recently sentenced Shemsi Veseli to 30 days of imprisonment. Fazli Balaj, Mr. Veseli's counsel told Bujku that the latter was charged with "infringing territorial entity of Yugoslavia".
THE SERB POLICE EXPEDITIONS FOR ARMS SEARCHES CONTINUE THROUGHOUT KOSOVA
Under the pretext of arms searches, the Serbian police expeditions have been continuing to raid on and search Albanian homes throughout Kosova. Reports from Prizren indicate that the Serbian police raided on Monday three Albanian homes at Hoqe village of Prizren. The homes of Milazim Krasniqi, Nexhat Budurri and Sefedin Gashi were thoroughly searched leaving behind piles of demolished forniture.
Similaty, heavy Serbian police forces were involved today (Wednesday) in an expedition at the village Marec of Prishtina. Under the pretence of arms searches seven Albanian homes of this village are reported raided on. Homes of Shaip and Sylejman Llapashtica, as well as Sylajman, Hysen, Tahir, Hasan and Hamez Makolli were searched on the occasion.
Family members including children of the searched families are reported harassed and maltreated. However, no arms were found.
