PETITION
I, Kruglyak Raisa Philipovna, the mother of Kruglyak Vladimir Pavlovitch, who was condemned to death for the killing, address to you this petition. My son, born in 1967, killed his foreman Kornienko Vasiliy at work in January, 1993. But, honorable gentlemen, that day my son had gone at work being absolutely sober, and his foreman had not allowed him to work. I do not know how the conflict did happen, and I do not understand why other workers did not interfere in and did not prevent this conflict, but were just looking at them fighting and were waiting indifferently for the end.
And now, when one man is dead, another is condemned to death, they started talking. Now everybody knows what to do. But what shall I do, his mother?! I am 60 years old. I am left with his son, my grandson - Kruglyak Alexander, who is only 4. His mother abandoned him, leaving the baby in a public bus. I will take care of Alexander of course...
My son had never done anything wrong against the Law before. I just can not understand what happened that it turned to killing. I do not justify at all the action of my son. A death of a man is an irreparable grief for a family. Indescribable is my grief... But however, I pray you standing on my knees, let my son stay alive. I don't know how long I am going to live, but maybe his son will get some day his father back, and will be grown up by him. Now I am together with him, but what will be then?.. I ask you give a little hope at least, to get the appeal for pardon accepted, why, he is only 27. I worked all my live since the years of my childhood as a milkmaid in kolkhoz. It was very hard to grow up three children and to work at the same time. But it was easier when I kept the hope that my old age would not be sorrowful.
I pray you, do not let me with my grandson down. Do our best to keep my son going.
With hope, with praying -
Kruglyak Raisa Philipovna.
