Members of the Parliament and scientists of Lithuania, members of the Transnational Radical Party, support Mr. Antonio Stango during elections to the European Parliament due to take place on 12 June 1994.
Mr. Stango, one of the leaders of the Radical Party, coordinates the activity in Russia and the Baltic states. He often visits the Lithuanian Parliament and promotes processes of Lithuanian democratisation as well as integration into European structures. He organized an international conference on a very important issue - rights of national minorities in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, in 1993, in Tallinn. Antonio Stango's activity is of great political and cultural significance, especially in strengthening legal state and protection of human rights. Now it is a matter of great importance both for the Baltic states and for the European Parliament.
We - representatives of the Republic of Lithuania, member of the Council of Europe, are convinced that Mr. Antonio Stango deserves to be elected a member of the European Parliament. And as a member of this high institution he will increase the positive exertion of his fruitful activites.
