(Moscow, October 24) - Demonstration for the immediate institution of the International Criminal Court has taken place today in front of the United States embassy in Moscow. Among ten participants of the manifestation were Anatolij Shabad, member of Russian State Duma (Russia's Choice); Marat Zahidov, an Uzbek MP and member of General Council of the Radical Party; Mamuka Tsagareli, vice president of General Council of Radical Party; Nikolaj Khramov, member of General Council of Radical Party.
The demonstrators with slogans "There Is No Peace Without Justice", "International Criminal Court Now!", "One More Year Of Debates = One More Year Of Henocide" stood in front of the embassy's many-storied building on Novinsky Boulevard during one hour. In spite of the fact that a fax request about the meeting was sent to the embassy several days before, nobody among the embassy's officers could neither receive Radical delegation, nor to meet them downstairs.
Many journalists (Reuters TV, 2x2 TV News, Interfax, "Utro Rossii" daily newspaper, Express-Khronika, Radio "Eho Moskvy", Radio Liberty and others) have gathered to observe Radical action and take interview with its participants. One day earlier Interfax news agency informed about the planned demonstration near American embassy and just today morning Radio "Ekho Moskvy" (the most popular independent radio station in Moscow) appealed to the listeners to join Radical action. The report about the demonstration begun to be broadcasted on 2x2 TV News (a Moscow TV channel) since 3.30 PM in every-hour brief news.
