The way of strruggle against AIDS found by the Duma deputies is not very original: they just passed a law against AIDS spreading. Whereas earlier the AIDS-testing was absolutely voluntary, the adopted law envisages an obligatory examination: no foreigner will be allowed to come to Russia without an AIDS-test.

According to official data, there are more than 750 AIDS-infected in this country, acoording to independent experts, they are even more numerous, 2 till 5 thousands. The new law guarantees free medical care to all infected. A physician who is to blame for AIDS contamination may be imprisoned for 2 till 12 years.
