The Bulgarian part of the campaign against racism, anti-semitism, xenophobia and intolerance was opened on December 9 in Sofia. The campaign is part of the European initiative of the European Council and it will end in July 1995 in Strasbourg.

Among the authorities addressing the opening meeting held in Sofia, Novotel Evropa, on December 9, there were only two foreigners: H.E. the ambassador of France in Bulgaria, M. Jean-Marie Daillet, and Mr Michele Boselli from the transnational Radical party.

In his address to the assembly, Boselli stated that this campaign is very similar to Rp's goals for respect of human and civil rights, mentioning Rp's struggle for the institution of the International Criminal Court and the abolition of the death penalty.
