Moscow, February 10, 1995
Dear friends,
On behalf of the Radical Party's Secretariat I have the honor to inform you about formal joining of the Transnational Radical Party the Agreement About Common Actions To Defend Peace And Freedom, Against Bloodshed In Chechnya, signed in Moscow on January 28 in the Parliamentarian Center. (Using the occurrence, I would like to express my regret, that no Radical Party representative was invited to the ceremony of signing the Agreement, in spite of actions against war in Chechnya, undertaken by us to that time - many participants of the Agreement as well as mass media were informed about them).
We share completely principles, laid down into Agreement. We consider struggle against war in Chechnya not only as struggle against brutal and mass human rights violations, committing by armed forces in this republic, but also as an essential component of contest against Russian militarism in general.
We consider as urgent necessity also to provide a competent investigation of war crimes and crimes against humanity, committed in Chechnya from December 12, 1994. In this context we appreciate very much the big work, fulfilling by Sergej Kovalev, Julij Rybakov and other Russian parliamentarians. We plan also our own initiatives in this field, also on the international and parliamentarian level.
We hope for a fruitful collaboration.
Sincerely,
Nikolaj Khramov
member of General Council
of Radical Party
