The action started at 4:30 P.M., February 23, on Pushkin square. Then all participants marched alone Tverskaya st. to Okhotny Riad st. Moving alone Tverskaya st., the participants scanned slogans: "Comrade, be stout, and turn Yeltsin out!", "Yeltsin's gang -- to the court!", "Soviet Union!", and so on. On Okhotny Riad st. the manifesting were stopped by militia., because Moscow Mayor's House did not allow holiday meeting at Theater square. The meeting was held at the monument to Marx; many leaders of patriotic opposition and veterans have spoke in public there. They appealed to restore Soviet Union and "to defend Armed Forces of Russia from criminal encroachments of democrats and press." the place of the meeting was surrounded by several rows of militia men and special militia squads with shields and clubs. The action passed without any encounters and ended at about 8 P.M.
