TO THE HAGUE INTERNATIONAL COURT: OPEN IMMEDIATELY AN INVESTIGATION ON THOSE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE TERRORIST ATTACKS OF THE PAST DAYS ON ZAGREB, THE SERBIAN LEADERS OF KRAJINA (MARTIC,CELEKETIC AND LONCAR).
Bruxelles-Rome, Thursday May 4, 1995. A prompt intervention of the International Penal Court is needed against the war crimes committed in ex Yugoslavia to condemn the terrorist attacks of the Krajina Serbs to the Croatian capital. These were attacks against the civilian population and in particular against the defenseless, such as a children hospital; in addition to the fact that they were attacks carried out with weapons, like cluster bombs, outlawed by the international conventions.
If The Hague Tribunal is as of today the only international instrument able to enforce the principle of legitimacy, then it must be urged to act on the blatant crimes against humanity perpetrated by the fighting forces.
The self-proclaimed President of the "Serbian Republic of Krajina" Milan Martic, the chief commanders of their Army, the Generals Celeketic and Lonar must be immediately investigated by the Chief Prosecutor of the Court of The Hague. The Investigating Commission of the Court must quickly go to the areas effected to gather the necessary proofs.
The Transnational Radical Party which has undertaken a long campaign for the creation of the International Penal Court against war crimes perpetrated in ex Yugoslavia, in the next few hours will take the necessary steps so that this juridical instrument be operative at once.
