SARAJEVO, June 8 (Reuter) - Separatist Serb forces on Wednesday handed over the body of the Bosnian foreign minister who was killed on May 28 when his helicopter was shot down near the goverment-held enclave of Bihac, the United Nations said. "The body of Foreign Minister Irfan Ljubjankic was handed over at a body exchange in Bihac on Wednesday," said U.N. spokesman Lieutenant-Colonel Gary Coward. "The remainswere positively identified by Ljubjankic's sister."
Ljubjankic, 43, was killed when the Bosnian government helicopter in which he was travelling was hit by hostile fire on its way out of Bihac, his Serb-besieged home town.
Bosnia's justice minister, Izet Muhamedagic, and five other people were also killed.
The Bosnian government last week named Mohamed Sacirbey, its ambassador to the United Nations throughout 38 months of war, as Ljubjankic's successor as foreign minister.
