Dear Mr Dupuis

I was interested to read your letter of 2 June about the possibility of Bosnia applying for membership of the European Union.

I think it's highly unlikely that the EU would consider the membership of a country that is currently involved in a three sided civil war.

As soon as peace is restored howewer, I'm sure your application will receive serious consideration. I would then be prepared to back it.
