Moscow - Saint Petersburg, June 30, 1995

The one-day conference "For Conscientious Objection Right, Against Militarism" organized by Radical Party, Anti-militarist Radical Association (A.R.A.) and Soldiers' Mothers of Saint Petersburg will take place in Saint Petersburg on July 4. The conference will be held in Public Center (Izmajlovskij ave. 8, 2nd floor). Beginning of the conference is scheduled on 18.00.

In the conference will take part Nikolaj Khramov, secretary of A.R.A.; Ella Poljakova, chairwoman of the Soldiers' Mothers of Saint Petersburg; Fedor Chub, coordinator of Radical Party in Saint Petersburg.

The conference will be dedicated to the practical aspects of the anti-militarist campaign conducted during this months by Radical Party and A.R.A. in collaboration with other organizations (first of all, movement of soldiers' mothers), and - first of all - to the initiative on collecting signatures under the appeal to the both chambers of Russian parliament and president in favour of the soonest adoption of a democratic and nondiscriminatory conscientious objection law.
