Thank you for your letter dated 21 September regarding the situation in Tibet. I share your concern about the Tibetan people and the danger they are in. I have prepared an Early Day Motion calling on the UK government to apply itself to the task of facilitating a just resolution of the Tibetan situation, which I will table on 16 October, the day Parliament returns. I sincerely hope the motion gains the support of many Members of Parliament.
