THE ISSUE OF TIBET ON THE AGENDA OF THE RUSSIAN DUMA AND THE ITALIAN PARLIAMENT.

ACROSS FROM THE UNITED NATIONS, THE HUNGER STRIKE OF THE SIX TIBETANS CONTINUES.

Bruxelles-Moscow-Rome, October 27, 1995. The Transnational, Transparty Radical Party has urged the presentation of a motion to the Russian Duma and to the Italian Parliament that asks for the opening of negotiations between the Chinese Government and the Tibetans, the respect for human rights in Tibet and the inclusion of the Tibetan question on the agenda of the General Assembly of the United Nations.

60 Deputies have so far signed the motion presented by the deputies STRIK LIEVERS (Reformers, member of TRP), Aldo TRIONE (Progressive-Federative), Enrico NAN (Forza Italia, Member of TRP), Rosa RUSSO JERVOLINO (Partito Popolare Italiano), Ugo CECCONI (National Alliance), Lino DE BENEDETTI (Verdi), Flavio RODEGHIERO (Lega Nord) who ask for the Italian Government effort on behalf of Tibet.

The Russian Duma instead, has reject the opening of discussions on the TRP motion presented by the deputy Karakis ARAKCHAA, (of "New Regional Politics" Party). 344 Deputies were against the opening of discussions, 103 were in favor and 3 abstained.

In the meantime, in New York, at the United Nations, the hunger strike of the six Tibetans continues without any answer from the glass building.
