THE NEGATIVE ATTITUDE OF THE USA, FRANCE AND GREAT BRITAIN TO THE QUESTION OF THE CREATION OF AN INTERNATIONAL WAR CRIMES TRIBUNAL HAS BECOME OBVIOUS, states a press-release of the Radical Party issued on 10 November. According to the Radical Party, these countries came out in favour of the extension for an unspecified period of the term of functioning of the present ad hoc committee or for the creation of other committees to study the matter further. Earlier all the states of the European Union called for the convocation of a conference to establish the Tribunal no later than 1997. In the opinion of the Radical Party, the failure to implement this decision has given carte blanche to numerous war criminals, past and future.
To prevent this, the Radical Party proposes that protest faxes be sent to the delegations of the USA, France and Great Britain, on numbers: USA - 1-212-415-4443; France - 1-212-421-6869; Great Britain - 1-212-745-9316.
