Yegor Gaydar, leader of the Russia's Democratic Choice Party, appealed on January 31 to support initiative of Boris Nemtsov, governor of Nizhny Novgorod and to carry out throughout Russia petition campaign for stoppage Chechen war.

It is underlined in the text of the appeal given to ITAR-TASS that RDC "since the very beginning was a strong and consequent opponent of war." According to Yegor Gaydar, "the most easy way" to stop war in Chechnya in the current situation is the petition campaign.
