On Sunday, February 11, in Moscow will take place a public assembly of Transnational Radical Party's members, activists and supporters. The assembly will convene in the conference hall of the Soil Institute, Pyzhevskij lane 7 (corner of Staromonetnij lane and Pyzhevskij lane). Metro station Poljanka or Tretjakovskaja, then five minutes by walk. The assembly begins at 2.00 PM. Access is free.
Following issues are in the agenda:
- international campaign of the Radical Party to support non-violent struggle of Tibetan people against Chinese occupation (there is provided intervention of Mr Navang Rabgyal, personal representative of His Holiness the Dalai Lama in Russia, CIS and Mongolia and member of the Radical Party in 1996);
- campaign of the Radical Party and Anti-militarist Radical Association (ARA) for conscientious objection bill, actions to support Nizhny Novgorod's governor Boris Nemtsov with his petition campaign against war in Chechnya, as well as other anti-militarist initiatives of Radical Party and ARA (report of Nikolaj Khramov, secretary of ARA);
- abolitionist campaign of the Hands Off Cain and Radical Party for death penalty to be abandoned worldwide by the 2000, as well as preparations to the conference "Right To Life And Death Penalty" scheduled on this May in Moscow (report of Igor Bezrukov, member of Amnesty Commission by Russian Federation President);
- self-financing and membership campaign for 1996;
