EUROPEAN MARCH "FREEDOM FOR TIBET": BRUSSELS, SUNDAY 10TH OF MARCH. ADHERENTS AND PARTICIPATIONS.
BRUSSELS, NEW YORK, the 10th of March 1996. The European march "Freedom for Tibet" which will take place on this sunday the 10th of March, will start at 11AM in front of the Embassy of the Popular Republic of China (Av. de Tervueren 445). The march has been organized by the Tibetan Intergroup at the EP, by the Tibetan Communities in exile, by the support committee for Tibet and by the Transnational Radical Party. It takes place on the anniversary day of the popular insurrection of Lhassa of 1959 during which the army of the Popular Rebublic of China eliminated more than 80.000 Tibetans.
The demonstrators will make a halt in front of the European Commission (Breydel) and the European Council, where a delegation guided by Prof. SAMDHONG Rinpoche, president of the European Parliament in exile, will hand over an appeal-letter to the European authorities.
The march will conclude at 2PM in front of the European Parliament (Rue Belliard), where a demonstration at which will participate political and cultural personalities from several European countries will start.

- Jessica LARIVE, MEP, co-president of the Intergroup Tibet at the European Parliament;
- Ivana SPAGNA, with a song about Tibet;
- Patrik MATON, president of the Association "Friends for Tibet";
- Tenzin EMCHI, president of the Tibetan Community in Switserland;
- Olivier DUPUIS, secretary of the Transnational Radical Party.
Delegations of several hundreds of people coming from France, Italie, Switserland, the Netherlands, Spain, Germany, Austria, Hungary, Sweden, Denmark, Luxembourg have announced their participation.
