Dear Mr.Olivier Dupuis,

We are glad to inform you that the action of Tibetan flag raising went nicely and successfully.

On the 10th of March, at 11 o'clock, local time, while ringing the bells of Tibet, the Tibetan flag was raised over the Kaunas Municipality building. The Kaunas city Vice-Mayor Mrs.Vincé Vaidevuté Margeviciené made a speech to people (about 200 people came) and read the statement of His Holiness the Dalai Lama. Other speeches were made by Mr. Algirdas Augustinas Intas, the chairman of the Lithuanian Nationalist Union Kaunas board, Mr. Audris Kopostinskas, the chief director of the Lithuanian Sajudis Kaunas board, Mr.Algirdas Kugevicius. The arrangement lasted for 40 minutes; it was finished by R. Jaras, who played a short clarinet composition after the Buddha words "there is no good nor bad...".
