A PROCLAMATION

By virtue of the authority vested in me as Mayor of the City of Pittsburgh, I do hereby issue this proclamation declaring March 10 as

TIBETAN NATIONAL DAY

in recognition of the efforts of the U.S. Tibet Committee's efforts marking the thirt-sixth anniversary of the Lhasa uprising; recognizing the talks to be given by Gendun Rinchen a human rights activist and recent prisoner of conscience; and recognizing the Pittsburgh Friends of Tibet for their efforts to raise awareness for the freedom of Tibet.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Seal of the City of Pittsburgh to be affixed.
