DRAFT RESOLUTION FOR ALL-PARTY CONSIDERATION:

Mindful that the cause of human rights & justice can be served only when they are fouded on & reflect universally recognized standards & practices;

Concerned that the case of Wej Jingsheng raises fundamental questions around the inalienable human rights of freedom of expression & opinio;

Further concerned that Wej Jingsheng's health has deteriorated & that continuing lack of medical attention w serious consequences for him;

Calls upon the Government of People's Republic of China to release Wej Jingsheng immediately from prison & ensure that adequate medical care is provided to him;

Requests the Government of the People's Republic of China to initiate immidiately an open & independent judicial review of Wej Jingsheng's case; such a review to permit full partecipation of internationally recognized legal experts.
