The head of Slovakia's intelligence service (SIS) is accusing President Michal
Kovac and opposition politicians of seeking to subvert the country's
constitution. Earlier this week in a report to parliament which was to
have been
devoted to the activities of his service, Lexa was interrupted by jeers and
calls
for his resignation as he rejected allegations of the intelligence agency's
involvement in last year's kidnapping of the president's son. Lexa devoted a
considerable part of his report to accusing the opposition and president of
using
the kidnapping case for groundless attacks against the Meciar government.
