Dear Mr.Dupuis,

We would like to herewith express our ackonowledgments to the TRP for its contribution in acquainting the international community with the prevailing situation in Kosova since its Serbian occupation in 1989.

While the process of dismemberment of former Yougoslavia and the emergence of new states out of it has been probably reaching its finale, another important and critical issue, that of Kosova, has been still left aside.

Committed to peaceful principles and approaches and pursuing non-violent means, the people of Kosova has been endeavoring to accomplish its self-determination, which is its historical, ethnic, political and constitutional right.

Therefore, it is about time that the TRP, through ist parliamentary mechanisms, initiates the appeal for recognizing the right to self-determination to the Kosova people.
