UNITED NATIONS WAKE UP!
ACT NOW TO STOP THE DESTRUCTION IN TIBET/PROTEST WITH US AT THE UN
In recent months a new ban has been imposed on photographs of His Holiness. The brave monks and nuns who oppose the redoubled Chinese suppression of Tibetan culture have been shot by Chinese police, arrested and tortured, and subjected to extended political "re-education". China has once again contradicted its position on the young Panchen Lama, stating that is not under custody after all. And the strength of the Chinese position in Tibet grows each day with the arrival of more Chinese settlers.
During the past month, board members of International Campaign for Tibet, the Tibetan Association of N.Y. and N.J. Tibetan Women's Association, the newly reformed Tibetan Youth Association, U.S. Tibet Committee, Students for a Free Tibet and the Transnational Radical Party met to plain joint action in the New York City area.

The inaction of the U.N., its member Nations, and our own government
is costing lives and tremendous suffering at a time when little time
is left for Tibet. If we do not individually take action, who will?
It stars with you and together change WILL happen.
In protest of the Chinese Government's ban on the display of Hiss Holiness the Dalai Lama's photos, we are asking that each person
come to the demonstration with an empty picture frame.
Collectively, this action can deliver a powerful message to the
world.
