Dear Secretary General,

Thank you for your letter of 2 october about the establishment of an

International Criminal Court.

The United Kingdom continues to support the establishment of such a court to try certain of the most serious crimes of concern to the international community. We shall continue to play an active role in the preparatory process and seek to ensure that the court is one which will be generally accepted by the internartional community
