release, the "RILINDJA" (Renaissance) Indipendent News Papers
published this anouncement:
Sakharov Prize to Wei Jingsheng
Strasbourg, 25 October 1996. After one proposition by
the Fractions of the European Parliament has been
assigned the "Sakharov Prize, for the freedom of soul", to
Chinese dissident Wei Jingsheng.
"This is a clear signal for the Bejing's Government, which must
respect the Human Rights, declared the President of Green
Groupp at European Parlament, Claudia ROTH"
