Subject: UNDOING POPULATION TRANSFER IN THE CHITTAGONG HILL TRACTS
In the light of the Parliament's comment on budget line B7-3010 'Economic Cooperation with Asian Developing Countries', to use part of the budget for the repatriation of Bengali settlers of the Chittagong Hill Tracts back to the plains, does the Commission already have a plan of action how to implement this comment?
How will the Commission select such projects?
Has the Commission already communicated this comment to the Bangladesh government and have any negotiations started between the Commission and the Government of Bangladesh with regard to the implementation of this proposal?
Will the Commission in any way involve consultation an participation of the indigenous peoples of the Chittagong Hill Tracts in order to select those project proposals that are most beneficial to them?
