The Deputy Mayor of Hradec Kralove, Jan Doskocil, said that they have received a protest from the Chinese Embassy. "This declaration was not signed, so it did not dissuade us from our intention to hang up the flag", stated Doskocil.

The report was illustrated by a large snap taken during the event of hanging up the Tibetan flag on the City Hall of Prague 3 by the Mayor.

Cities have received a letter form Olivier Dupuis, Secretary-General of the Transnational Radical Party and Member of the European Parliament inviting them to join the international campaign on the 9th and 10th of March. The City Hall of Litomerice, which was among 607 cities that joined this campaign last year, was not able to find the Tibetan flag in their store room. "We will hang it up as soon as we find it, even if it will not be in the fixed date", said the Mayor of Litomerice ing. Milan Tejkl. The Mayor of Frenstat pod Radhostem pointed out that the Tibetan flag flies on the City Hall in spite of the activities of the Chinese Embassy in this respect. "We have received from them the letter advising us upon the fact that Tibet is a sovereign territory of People`s Republic of China and therefore we should respect the official foreign policy of the Czech government, which recognizes the territorial entirety of China", said the Mayor.
