(Jaroslavl, March 27) - The public assembly of ARA has taken place in Znamenskaja Tower (Youth Cinema Studio) with participation of Nikolaj Khramov, secretary of ARA, Sergej Sorokin, member of ARA secretariat, as well as Galina Marchenko, Lidija Bajkova and other militants of ARA in this city - totally about 50 persons. The assembly was dedicated to the campaign for alternative civilian service law, conducted by ARA and Radical Party. 10 new persons have adhered to ARA for 1997 during the meeting.

After the public assembly, there was also the constituent assembly of the local ARA group in the city. The new-founded group has been named "Jaroslavl 1". There were elected statutory bodies of the group: Coordinator (Valerij STOROZHEV), Treasurer (Lidija BAJKOVA) and Executive Council (Aleksandr KASATKIN, Vladimir ANDRIANOV, Aleksej IVANOV, Galina MARCHENKO, Leonid PETRJAKOV).
