GENEVA (Reuters). For the seventh year in a row, China averted censure at the United Nations Human Rights Commission on Tuesday by succesfully quashing a Western resolution critical of its record. The 53member forum approved a "noaction motion", presented by China, by a vote of 27 countries in favor, 17 against and 9 abstentions. The resolution, sponsored by Denmark, was backed by 14 countries, including the United States.
