ON THE ROAD AGAIN: Bonino breaks out of Brussels for Baghdad.

It's vacation time at the EU, wich can mean only one thing for humanitarian aid chief Emma Bonino: It's time to drop in on a few of the world's trouble spots. The plucky Italian is already famous for her visits to Zaire and for slithering down a rope from a helicopter onto a fishing boat ......... Bonino meets for 45 minutes with Iraqui Deputy Prime Ministre Tariq Aziz, who pleads for the EU's help in easing the economic blockade imposed on Iraq. Bonino responds that political reform is the only solution to the blockade, and then heads off to visit EU backed aid projects in the north of the country. Several EU member states -in particular Germany- are unhappy with Bonino's Baghdad stop, but her office says no formal complaints have been filed.

Spero che anche i non anglofoni lo capiscano. L'ho volutametne non tradotto, perche' e' di semplice lettura e rende meglio in lingua inglese, proprio per la terminologia che viene usata. Per esempio "The plucky Italian" alla lettera significa l'italiana coraggiosa, ma non e' proprio cosi', perche' in quel "plucky" e nella sua pronuncia c'e' un che' di affettuoso, vezzegiativo, confidenziale che per dirlo in italiano occorrerebbe una frase.

Comunque, chi e' interessato all'eventuale traduzione, me lo faccia sapere.
