The Radical Party has launched a petition calling for the indictment of President Milosevic for genocide and crimes against humanity by the Criminal Tribunal for former Yugoslavia. Addressed to the President and Prosecutor General of the International Tribunal, this indictment request states in particular that the "national-communist regime of Belgrade has to be brought down () the aggression of the Belgrade regime in Kosovo stopped () return the possibility for Serbs to build a democracy and the Rule of Law in their country". For that, the appeal stipulates, "President Milosevic has to be arrested" and "definitively neutralized" indicting him for genocide and crimes against humanity, "he who over the past ten interminable years has been the instigator of the tragedy in the Balkans". "The future freedom and democracy for Kosovo, as well as for Yugoslavia, depends on this, as much for the Kosovars as for the Serbs", the appeal by the Radical Party concludes (the text is available on www.radicalparty.org)
